Samantha + Devin = Married!

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Stinson!  What a super fun Leap Day wedding Samantha & Devin had.  Leap Day, February 29th, that only comes around approximately every four years will never be the same for me!  How many people do you know that got married on Leap Day?  I knew from the first meetings with Sam, Devin & her parents, that they were going to have a unique wedding day.  I was referred to Samantha by one of her co-workers, Amanda, whom I photographed for their engagement pictures in Fall 2010 and then last July for Amanda & Eric's elegant pink wedding.  I love referrals from my past brides to other new brides!!  I got to shoot Samantha & Devin's fun engagement pictures walking the canal downtown one evening with their two dogs.  

For their wedding, we got to walk around and take lots of great photographs around the awesome exhibits at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis!  Amie & Kevin of the Children's Museum were awesome, as always!  How can you go wrong with dinosaur exhibit, carousel, Barbie exhibit, video games & blown glass exhibit as the backdrops for photographs?  It couldn't get more fun and we all were like big kids in a candy store.  So fun!  Jeremy with DJ's Direct did an amazing job with the music and was a great MC, as usual, and kept the party going til the very end.

Samantha & Devin first met two years ago on St. Patrick's Day at the Applebee's in Moorseville.  In spirit of the holiday, the staff served their food with a complimentary Pixy Stick.  Devin decided to mix the candy with his kiwi lemonade.  From that moment, Samantha knew she had met "the one."  He had the right amount of dork in him to make her unbelievably happy and never bored.  They had Pixy Stick party favors at each of the guests' place settings with this story and also said "If you feel like being a dork too, then please mix your Pixy Stick with your drink."  I loved all the uniqueness from their wedding day and their love story.  It will be a wedding I will always remember!
