A little of the Behind-The-Scenes-Info on our Photo Shoot:

Bride & Groom - Our "bride and groom" - Chrissy Zivitz's owns her lawfirm, Hollingsworth & Zivitz downtown Indy, along with their partner Kena Hollingsworth with family law attorneys.  The law firm was just voted the best place to work in Indiana by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce (last year they placed 13th).  Chrissy has been Loni's hair client for many years and knew she wanted Loni to do the hair for the wedding day photos.  Martin said he was a little nervous about the pictures, but loved how easy and relaxing everything felt.  Chrissy and Martin were such a gorgeous and loving couple and enjoying just being themselves for the pictures.  They loved being able to enjoy the day and all the special moments.

Video - Bob Ridge with IndyVisual Videography and owner of the We Do! Professional Centre did amazing videography of our photo shoot.  He is wonderful at capturing the details and creating gorgeous wedding films. IndyVisual is a video production studio specializing in candid, unobtrusive and elegant wedding videography.  Kristin recommends that you chose the photographer and videographer that can tell your wedding day love story.

Hair - Loni Wilson with 28 Star Studio is my sister, so it is nice getting to work with her on a wedding day!  I love being able to "keep it in the family" and work with my sister.  It is fun knowing and having established relationships with the vendors you work with. So it was very nice to get ready at Loni's salon, 28 Star Studio, in the heart of Carmel's Arts and Design District and walk around for pictures.  Loni specializes in bridal and special occasion hair and updos.  They will typically travel to the bride's "getting ready" wedding location or can also have the bride and bridesmaids come to the salon.  Loni always sets up the bridal trial run prior to the wedding day for the bride that is included in her wedding day package.  She wants to make sure the bride ensures she gets the look she wants for her wedding day.  Loni recommends bringing any picture inspiration ideas of things you like to the hair trial and also has her brides bring to the hair trial anything that might be in the hair on the wedding day (the veil, floral, tiara, facinators, etc) and she has a few in her salon if the bride is still looking for something.  That way everything can be figured out prior to the wedding day.  For this photo shoot, Chrissy's hair was a elegant up-do with fullness and volume.  When Loni saw the wedding dress, she knew exactly the direction she was going.  Chrissy wears hair extensions in her hair all the time and they used additional extensions for the day of with the help of sponge fillers to add volume.  We used a flower in a champagne color in her hair that Loni has at the salon.  Loni loves to work with the bride to make sure they have the overall balance and look they will love on their special day!

Makeup - On the makeup, Danielle with The Makeup Studio strives to make her clients feel comfortable, by listening to their concerns and accentuating their best features to enhance their natural beauty.  Danielle has her studio in Avon, but also travels to the bride's "getting ready" location.  Danielle specializes in makeup services for brides and fashion shoots.  Along with her professional makeup services, at her salon, Danielle is now offering custom airbrush tanning to add to their professional beauty services.  A great way for the busy bride to get the sun-kissed tan they want for pictures without the UV rays and time to get that tan.

Floral - Cathy & Akimee with Akimee Designs desire is to provide floral décor that will enhance a bride and groom's special day!  They always look forward to working closely with the bride and groom, listening carefully to their requests, getting to know them, and creating a personalized design that matches their wedding day vision. Their unique designs and attention to detail will assure their couples' wedding flowers will enrich every aspect of the wedding day.  When Akimee and Cathy initially came up with the design for this wedding, their inspiration really came from their love of gardening.   They knew then that the theme would be a spring garden.  They chose large traditional urns as their vessels and dressed them up with different shades of pink roses, green and white hydrangeas, curly willow, peonies, pink ranunculus and more spring flowers.  We had two boutineers and two bouquets used in our shoot to give different looks and couldn't decide on just one!  One of their favorite flowers is the peony and because the peony is such a feminine flower, they thought it would be the perfect choice for this wedding.   That is why they chose to do an all pink peony bouquet adorned with a crystal brooch and pearl pins.  Most of all what Akimee and Cathy enjoy about designing is meeting with each bride and trying to reflect her personality in every arrangement.  It was really fun designing this wedding, because they decided just to have as much fun with it as possible and they think it showed in the design.

Wedding Dress - In the dress selection, we loved being at "The Wedding Studio" with Cassandra.  Cassandra Stevning and Leslie Jones have a wonderful wedding dress studio space in the heart of Carmel's Arts and Design District that makes the experience that typical intimate, great, non-rushed and personal-attention experience that you want when you are dress shopping.  It is that dress-shopping experience you have always dreamed of having.  They work with the bride one-on-one to help create the most important ensemble the bride will ever wear.  It was fun to have a bunch of dresses to try on, with veil choices, belts/floral/garter belts/jewelry/facinators accessories to make the wedding dress attire complete right in the studio!  We all kept loving the first dress Chrissy tried on and ended up using for the wedding shoot by Martina Liana.  We kept comparing each dress she tried on with that first dress.  We loved the uniqueness with the layers and loved when the champagne beaded belt was added, because it was such an elegant and fun "added-on" accessory to have.  It actually looked great on most of the wedding dresses Chrissy tried on and could be added on.  We really thought the jacket was fun as it was the same dress designer, but went with a different dress.  It blended well with the dress we selected and thought it gave a different look for some of the reception pictures and loved that you put arms in and the jacket buttons in the back.

Tux - Proudly serving the Greater Indianapolis area, Circle City Tuxedo is committed to delivering a personalized experience for your wedding. Whether you are in Carmel, Greenwood, or anywhere in between, Circle City will help you find the perfect look for any occasion.  In the tux selection for Martin, when the color scheme was decided, we had a few "champagne" colored vest and tie design options to choose from.  Kati with Circle City Tuxedo was very accommodating and helpful, even on short notice.

Table - On the table, we did a "sweetheart" round table for two for the bride and groom's special reception table.  I wanted to incorporate some pinks as an accent, but was inspired by the Champagne colored tablecloth I ran across A Classic's champagne taffeta floor length tablecloth.  I thought it was a great fit with our elegant bride and groom and thought it was great in color to go with Chrissy's wedding dress belt and Martin's tux vest and tie.  I think all of the colors with the gold, mahogany, clear, white or silver chiavari chairs from A Classic would have looked great with this venue, but we finally decided on the silver chiavari chairs with ivory chair pads and ivory organza sash from A Classic Party Rental to complete our great elegant look.  The "Mr. & Mrs." signs were a variation of signs found on Pinterest.  I created with a wood piece from Michael's and got the look with stain and hand painted the Mr. & Mrs. on there.  I loved those signs on the back of the chairs with the ivory organza sashes tied to the side of the chair to give the elegance without being too much with the 'Mr & Mrs' signs.  Menu cards for the plated sit-down meal are always nice to give the guests a heads up and look elegant on the silver charger plates.  Pink heart hard candies in the clear glass vases were a great wedding day favor to give us the pink accent.  Loved the pink lemonade with sugar rimmed glass and fun flower and heart stir-stick/straw as great ways to incorporate our pink colored accents.
