Shelbi + Joey = Engaged!

Congratulations, Shelbi and Joey, on your engagement!  From my first meeting with Shelbi and Joey, seeing them at events and in just talking to them, I knew they would have a super fun engagement session!  And I wasn't wrong.  In Joey's words, I know he would say, "Oh, Yeah!"  What a super fun and adorable couple.  It is not every day you get to walk around and take beautiful pictures at an empty Victory Field, the Indianapolis Indians baseball field.  I do have to say that it was such a great time and I loved being able to catch up with Shelbi and Joey.  I even got to meet their two dogs, Apollo and Rocky.  I am so excited to be a part of the engagement pictures and I can't wait for the 12.31.2012 New Year's Eve Wedding Day!  It is going to be a blast.  Below are a few of my favorites from our photo shoot and a little more about their love story . . .
When it came to their first meeting, they, oddly enough, met at Victory Field when a friend introduced them!  They spend a lot of time at Victory Field as Joey is the head groundskeeper at Victory Field.  I really loved taking their engagement pictures there because it was fun and because Victory Field is such a big part of their lives.  The grounds did look beautiful, Joey!  We can tell you have been busy.  :)
When it comes to their favorite "date nights" or some of your favorite things to do together, Joey loves pasta, so they eat italian a lot!  And they enjoy going to concerts, hanging with friends and family, and just hanging out together when they have the opportunity with their busy schedules!
For their proposal, it is a long story!  But the short version is that the proposal and ring came as a late birthday present to Shelbi in January.  Joey borrowed a UPS uniform from a friend and dressed as the UPS man and special delivered her ring.  Joey was standing at the end of the driveway with poster boards he had made, like on the movie love actually, with his feelings written down on the boards.
They started planning their wedding, shortly after and chose the Ritz Charles Chapel and Ritz Charles Ballroom because Shelbi knows the Ritz Charles has great service and they make sure everything is just as the bride wants it.  They love that everything for the ceremony and reception are so close and convenient, especially since all of Joey's family will be traveling to Indy from Illinois.
They chose to have a New Year's Eve celebration, because they wanted to have the wedding during Joey's "slower" season and love that they picked a date where Joey could remember their anniversary date.  They have loved all of the wedding planning so far and are looking forward to becoming husband and wife on their wedding day.  They can't wait to be with all of our closest friends and family and having a great and fun night.
So fun!!!  What an amazing couple.  Thanks again, Shelbi and Joey.  If you would like to see more of Shelbi and Joey's Engagement Pictures, please click on the below link to my Website:
