Sarah + Ryan = Engaged! | Indianapolis, IN

Sarah and Ryan, you two are so much fun!  I had a blast taking your engagement photos and loved getting to catch up.  It is always so much fun getting to hang out with you guys and I always have a blast.  I just love you two!!!  I always associate Sarah with downtown, so doing her photos anyplace else, would not have been the same!  I loved the downtown circle and architecture as the backdrops for our photos.  I love the foreshadowing of the wedding events to come.  I am so excited to now share your adorable engagement photos, since you have had a moment to enjoy and share!  It is an absolute honor getting to photograph your engagement photos and wedding day.  It has been fun getting to know you both even more as individuals and a couple in these last few weeks.  You are an amazing couple, Sarah and Ryan, and I can't wait for your gorgeous and super fun wedding day!  Here are a few of Sarah and Ryan's favorites from our photo shoot and a little more about your love story . . .
Sarah and Ryan met by chance at Fox and Hound through a mutual friend.  They always have a blast together and bring out the best in one another.  When it comes to their date nights, they are always on the go, so they love to get the chance to relax.  Sometimes the best dates for them is relaxing at home with the dogs, drinking beer and renting a movie.  They also enjoy going out for their favorite date night and they love Mexican food – Adobo is their favorite! If they’re going to do it up, they go see Chef Todd at Carnegie’s in Greenfield.
When it came to knowing they had found "the one” they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with, they had trouble trying to pinpoint the exact moment.  They love being around each other, but it was confirmed while surrounded by their families.  Each person’s family embraced them and the other’s family and family is very important to both of them.
For the proposal, Ryan surprised Sarah on the week of her ADMEI Rising Star of the year award.  Needless to say, they had they both had one amazing and very memorable week!  When Sarah came home from work, Ryan surprised her with rose petals and candles spread throughout the house and her favorite food, Ethiopian, champagne, and a proposal play list playing softly in the background.  It was perfectly romantic and intimate.
Shortly thereafter, they began their wedding planning.  They both love D’Amore on the 48th Floor of the Chase Tower overlooking the downtown circle.  For the date, they chose the date of the Circle Lighting, since the tree lighting has been a tradition of Sarah’s since she moved to Indy.  Watching the lighting from above and overlooking the circle, then topped off with fireworks, sounded like the perfect way to start their fairy tale.  Plus, they wanted the wedding to be small and surrounded by their family and close friends, so what a better time to celebrate then over Thanksgiving weekend!
When I asked them their favorite part of the wedding planning process so far?  Sarah said she loves planning to marry the man she loves and working with some of her favorite vendors on a more personal level.  Ryan said he has enjoyed seeing it all come together.  “From taking engagement pictures up in D’Amore to checking out Endless Summer Band with Sarah and her mom… it’s been fun to be a part of the details coming together.”  They both are looking forward to the wedding day.  They can’t wait to marry their best friend and sharing that special moment with their closest family and friends.
