Gallery Forty-Two's "Liberation: The Art of Boban" Opening! | Indianapolis, IN

I had the distinct pleasure of photographing the Gallery Forty-Two's Recent Opening of the "Liberation: The Art of Boban" Exhibit.  It was gorgeously amazing and I always love being back at their gorgeous gallery.  It was fun meeting International Master Artist Boban.  He is extremely talented, nice and we all enjoyed meeting him as he traveled from Chicago to Indy to be a part of the evening.  His steel sculptures are amazing.  The Boban exhibit is open through the 18th, so please go check out the art and gorgeous space at Gallery Forty-Two.

A Little Bit About Boban . . . Boban Ilic, born in Nis, Yugoslavia, moved to the United States in 1991 in search of artistic liberty and opportunity. His sculpture is comprised of found media, mostly stainless steel flatware. The spoon is representative of the nourishment of the human soul in its dramatic path towards personal fulfillment, power, creativity and success. It has become the predominant creative component of Boban’s sculptures.  Finding his inspiration in music and poetry, Boban’s paintings present a world of dramatic composition, consisting of conflicting figures and feelings. His paintings have the passion and power of the Renaissance spirit.  “I do not divide the real world from the dream world. I do not feel the borders of reality.”  - Boban

Gallery 42's Event Space . . . Gallery Forty-Two’s prime downtown location is available to rent for a variety of private events, ranging from business engagements to rehearsal dinners. The 3,500-square-foot space includes a built-in A/V system, 12-foot drop-down projector screen, blackout screen, 50” flat-screen TV, adjustable lighting system and newly restored antique bar. The unique and intimate setting, coupled with exceptional works of art by preeminent artists, lends an exquisite backdrop to your special event.  Gallery Forty-Two is located in the historic building at 42 E. Washington St. along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. The structure, which dates back to the 1830’s, was acquired by JHL Properties in late 2012 before undergoing extensive rehabilitation. Though modernized during the building’s construction, certain 19th century features were restored and preserved to maintain the building’s historical significance.  If you need a unique venue for an upcoming event, contact the team at Gallery Forty-Two!  http://galleryfortytwo.com/events/
