Groundbreaking at Monon & Main | Carmel, IN



Monon & Main, LLC officially broke ground on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 on the new building project located at the Monon Trail and Main Street in Carmel’s prestigious Arts & Design District.  Chuck Lazzara and his son, Anthony Lazzara, exclusively unveiled plans to Current in Carmel back in June 2016 for Monon and Main, a mixed-use development that will be centered on an upscale steakhouse and also will include office and retail space, townhomes for sale and a quaint park. Construction is already underway and it was made official by the groundbreaking. 

Congratulations to the Lazzara Family, City of Carmel and all of your teams. It was such a heart-felt morning with Chuck and Tony thanking so many of their family, friends and colleagues.  It is an amazing story behind it all. Commentary at the groundbreaking ceremony was made by the following representatives:

Several members of the Lazzara family are involved with developing Monon and Main, LLC. They all live in Carmel, and many of them have other ties to the downtown area. They include:

• Joe Lazzara, Chuck’s brother and owner of Joe’s Butcher Shop on Main Street
• Matt Frey, Chuck’s brother-in-law and owner of Bub’s Burgers
• Tom Lazzara, brother of Chuck and Realtor at Remax

Chuck, Lynn, Tony, Kayla and the Lazzara family . . . it has been an honor to be a part of your "extended family" all these years. It was a pleasure to photograph this groundbreaking day for you all. The sky was gray and gloomy all day long today, but turned blue and perfect just for those few moments of groundbreaking – it was perfect!  We all can't wait to see the progress over the coming months at Monon and Main.
